The American Trauma Society Presented a Injury Prevention Webinar on April 29, 2020 at 12:00pm - 1:00pm ET
With the battle against COVID-19 actively underway, social distancing principles apply to all of the ways by which staff at trauma centers do their jobs. The same applies to Injury and Violence (IVP) Prevention programs, which are typically include classroom interaction and "hands on" practical sessions. Like all other members of the healthcare teams at our trauma centers, our IVP teams are being called on to make decisions about what key programs they can continue to provide and how to deliver them in a virtual setting. Join us on April 29, 2020 at 12:00p.m. ET for a webinar to learn how two programs have adapted to the virtual setting. This webinar will spotlight two practical approaches in the delivery of child passenger safety checks and violence prevention intervention.
Presenters:
Christy Adams, Injury Prevention Coordinator, UCDAVIS, Discussion Leader
Fatimah Muhammad, Executive Director for the Health Alliance for Violence Intervention (HAVI)
Jennifer Rubin, Injury Prevention Program Lead, Dignity Health Mercy San Juan Medical Center and Safe Kids Greater Sacramento
