Description
The American Trauma Society hosted a Trauma Registry webinar - "Don't Fall Down on Falls Coding" on December 19, 2019.
Join the ATS and presenter, Diana Curtis, for a trauma registry webinar focused on coding for falls. Throughout the duration of the webinar, Diana will review the basics and specifics for coding falls, take an in depth look into the W00-W19 chapter in the ICD 10 book and other categories that contain fall codes, and address the significance of falls to public health.
With years of coding experience and a passion for falls prevention, Diana Curtis currently serves as a Trauma Registry Professional at BayHealth Medical Center - Kent Campus, a Level III Trauma Center in Delaware. As co-chair for the State Falls Prevention Team which aims to reduce community falls across the age span, Diana has a special interest in correct E-Coding of falls. Diana holds a Masters of Science in Nursing degree, is a Certified Specialist in Trauma Registries, and hold a CAISS certification.
