On August 15, 2019 the American Trauma Society hosted an Injury Prevention Webinar, " Emerging Leaders: Bridging the Gap: A Trauma Center Based Youth Violence Prevention." Learn about VCU’s Emerging Leaders program which aims to connect youth to resources, reduce risky behaviors, prevent youth from engaging in violence, and provide youth with pro-social programming.Emerging Leaders (EL) was developed as the prevention arm of the Bridging the Gap program, designed to assess risk factors and prevent youth violence before it occurs. This webinar will take a look risk factors, targeted populations, and solutions. Rachelle Hunley, MPP is the programs director and will lead this webinar. This webinar qualifies for 1 Attendance Contact Hour. To qualify for the Contact Hour you must complete the survey.
