Description
On April 24, 2019, The American Trauma Society hosted a Trauma Registry Webinar, Data Validation for the Real World. Join long-time Trauma Program Manager Jane McCormack, RN, BSN, CSTR, TCRN, for a discussion on reliable processes for data validation that include registrars, registry data users, and trauma center leadership. Webinar participants will leave with practical validation strategies to implement within their trauma centers. Jane McCormack is the Trauma Program Manager of an academic Level I Trauma Center on Long Island. Very early on in this role, she recognized that the trauma registry is the foundation of a good trauma program. More recently, she has come to believe that valid data—data that is correct, complete and trusted—must be the cornerstone of that foundation. This presentation will offer some practical tips for developing a data validation program at your center that meets the ACS requirements and the ATS recommendations without being overly burdensome to the program manager or registrar. This webinar qualifies for 1 Attendance Contact Hour. To qualify for credit, you must complete the survey below.
