Description
On February 14, 2019, The American Trauma Society hosted a Special Educational Webinar, Managing the Impacts of Shared Transportation Systems on Trauma Programs. Cities and towns throughout the nation have been experiencing the growing presence of shared transportation systems including bicycles and e-scooters. Integration of these viable, efficient transport options has been both welcomed and challenging at the community level. Our nation's trauma programs are tackling impacts ranging from injury prevention to proper documentation and coding within trauma registries. Please join Courtney Edwards, DNP, MPH, RN, and Injury Prevention Coordinator at Parkland Health and Hospital Systems and Kevin Rix, MPH and Injury Prevention Coordinator at Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas to learn best practices and strategies to address these impacts.
