Description
On October 24, 2017, the American Trauma Society hosted an Educational Webinar - "Trauma Systems Through the Eyes of the CFO - How to Effectively Communicate with the C-Suite". It was presented by A. Scott Cooper, FACHE, PMP, who has been a healthcare administrator for 24 years and has experience as a Chief Financial Officer at a medical research laboratory, community hospital, level 1 trauma center, and at the enterprise level of a multi-billion-dollar healthcare organization. Join us for a discussion on trauma systems and trauma centers from the CFO’s prospective. We will talk about funding projects and how to communicate its value to the CFO. We will discuss the balancing act between funding programs and streamlining costs. While talking to the CFO about needing money for a project or position may cause people to be nervous (because you do not understand the language or how to communicate your needs), we will offer tips on how to be successful. In other words, we will teach you to speak elementary finance and identify the finance linguistics. Topics such as formulating a project, gathering facts, ROI (return on investment), etc. will also be examined, basically how to bring your project to life. We will also walk through examples of how to ask for money for various needs, such as additional staff. This webinar qualifies for 1 Hour of CSTR Recertification CEUs (Category IV - Registry Issues). To qualify for credit, you must complete the survey below.
