Description
On January 26th, 2016, The American Trauma Society’s – Trauma Registry and Data Council (TRDC) hosted a Trauma Registrar Educational Webinar on 2016 NTDS Dictionary Changes. The National Trauma Data Standard (NTDS) Dictionary is designed to establish a national standard for the exchange of trauma registry data, and to serve as the operational definitions for the National Trauma Data Bank (NTDB). Each year and throughout the year, the American College of Surgeons provides updates and changes to the National Trauma Data Standards. This webinar will review recent changes made to the NTDB data fields. The webinar assists the Registrar with important knowledge of the abstracting process and assists in improving the quality of the data sent to the NTDB. The "2016 NTDS Dictionary Changes" Webinar addressed the following objectives: recognize the new data fields, recognize the impact of abstracting with the updated definitions, recognize the updated clarifications to definitions when abstracting, and recognize the significance the additional Information edits have with data abstraction of NTDB fields. This webinar qualifies for 1 Hour of CSTR Recertification CEU's (Category III - Coding and Scoring Concepts). To qualify for credit, you must complete the survey below.
