Description
On April 21st, 2015, the American Trauma Society held a Trauma Registry educational webinar covering an introduction to ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding. The webinar was presented by Sue Bowman, MJ, RHIA, CCS, FAHIMA, Senior Director, Coding Policy and Compliance for American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). Attendees of the Webinar (Introduction to ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS for Trauma Registrars), will be able to identify the fundamental element of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding structure, achieve a basic understanding of trauma ICD-10-CM diagnosis and ICD-10-PCS procedure coding, and achieve a basic understanding of the IDC-10 coding set. The course was not an in-depth training on ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS, but was offered as an introduction to prepare trauma professionals for future in-depth courses offered covering ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS. In particular the introduction to ICD-10 course was being offered by the ATS – Trauma Registry and Data Council for trauma professionals as a prerequisite recommendation for attendees who plan to attend the Part II of External Cause Code Decision Making ICD-10-CM offered by the ATS and CDC partnership later this summer. This webinar qualifies for 1.5 Hours of CSTR CEUs (Category III - Coding and Scoring Concepts). To qualify for credit, you must complete the survey below.
