Description
On September 29, 2017, the American Trauma Society hosted a Special Educational Webinar - "Cutting Edge Concepts in Resiliency: Lessons learned from the US Special Operations Community.” “Humans are more important than hardware”…what can we do to protect ourselves from and to overcome the cumulative physical and emotional strain of our professional and personnel life? The US Special Operations Command empowered an interdisciplinary team to build and implement innovative solutions to improve the well-being of the force and their families. In this presentation, hear from one of the key leaders in the AF Special Operations’ resiliency programs and learn how those mind-body-spirit solutions can be applied to your organization. The objectives of this webinar are to describe the human stress response and how to recognize its effects, define 4 domains of resiliency development common to all professions, and to demonstrate several techniques of real-time threat stress control. It is presented by Colonel (Dr.) Chetan Kharod, the Program Director for the Department of Defense's tri-service Military EMS & Disaster Medicine Fellowship, Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, Texas. This webinar qualifies for 1 Hour of CSTR Recertification CEUs. To qualify for credit, you must complete the survey below.
