Stephanie Thibodaux, BS, CSTR, CAISS
Robin Schrader, BSHIM, CSTR, CAISS is a highly accomplished professional in the field of trauma registry operations. She currently serves as the Trauma Registry Operations Manager at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia. With over 33 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including 16 years dedicated to Trauma Registry, Robin has played a pivotal role in improving registry processes and ensuring data accuracy. Robin has held various leadership positions, including Chair of the American Trauma Society CSTR Prep Committee, Educator for the Association of Virginia State Trauma Registrars (AVaTR), and member of multiple advisory councils and education committees for the ATS and TCAA. Her expertise extends to ICD-10-CM and PCS coding, performance improvement, and hospital event analysis.
Stephanie Thibodaux BS, CSTR, CAISS has pursued a life of improving patient care. She has studied several different road maps from emergency first response, to nursing assistant, to doctorate study in osteopathic medicine. From the time she was very young she wanted to impact patient care and improve the quality of medical care for patients in the worst days of their life. Stephanie has a BS in Biology and Chemistry (Pre-Med emphasis). She then studied osteopathic medicine for 3 years, with the driving force being patient centered care. She continues to study and teach anatomy to anyone who will listen and firmly believes that better anatomy knowledge is the foundation of better coding and trauma registry knowledge. After a career change to Trauma Registry almost 10 years ago, she has strived to understand all aspects of the registry and quality patient care and takes pride in the position she holds as a Senior Trauma Registrar at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center in Richmond, VA. Outside of work Steph loves to spend time with her family, listen to music and snuggle her two Australian Shepards.
