Description
The American Trauma Society presented an Injury Prevention Professional WebinarApril 22, 2025 at 1:00pm - 2:00pm Eastern "Safe Sitter | Injury Prevention Program for Grades 4-8"
As a healthcare provider, you understand the power of injury prevention programs. But what about the older kids—those tweens and teens who’ve aged out of early childhood offerings but still show up in your ER with preventable injuries? In this webinar, we’ll explore how Safe Sitter® programs can fill that gap, equipping youth with skills in safety, first aid, and childcare.
Presenter:
Amanda Christian, Director of External Relations, Safe Sitter, Inc.
Amanda is a proud Safe Sitter® graduate and joined the Safe Sitter® team in January of 2013. She earned a B.A. in Marketing from Cedarville University where a class in nonprofit marketing sparked a career passion as it combined her love of marketing with her admiration for organizations that make a difference. Founded in 1980, Safe Sitter® was created by Dr. Patricia A. Keener to teach young teens lifesaving skills from their very first babysitting job. What began as a single course in response to a tragedy, grew into a nonprofit organization with nearly 3,000 Instructors. Safe Sitter® programs continue to build safer communities with courses that prepare individuals to provide the best and safest care for young children.
Free for ATS Members
$25 for Non-Members
