"Generations Work: Introduction to Reframe Aging"
Join the ATS in welcoming Trish D'Antonio presenting today's session from the National Center to Reframe Aging!
Americans are living longer, working longer, and reshaping what it means to contribute to society in vital ways as we age. Yet, the way our culture thinks and talks about aging hasn’t kept pace. Outdated narratives continue to dominate public dialogue, reinforcing policies, practices, and systems of care that no longer reflect today’s realities—or tomorrow’s possibilities.
The National Center to Reframe Aging is leading a movement to change this narrative by advancing evidence-based communication strategies that promote a more equitable and accurate story of aging. But reframing aging is a generation’s work—a long-term, collaborative effort that must be embedded across sectors, including healthcare, workplaces, community programs, and media.
In this webinar, we’ll explore how these proven messaging tools are already making a difference in different sectors and why building age-inclusive narratives benefits everyone—as we are all aging. Participants will learn how to address implicit bias, advocate for age-friendly policies, and be part of a growing movement to improve the discourse on aging and end ageism. Join the movement to change the story of aging—and create a future where everyone can age with the necessary resources, policies, and programs.
