Presenter:
Kathleen Martin, MSN, RN is a Trauma System Consultant with 45 years experience developing trauma centers and trauma systems globally. She was the Senior Director of Trauma Services, UCHealth, Colorado and previously the Trauma Nurse Director at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany, the first trauma ACS verified trauma center outside the USA. Kathleen was the CEO of Martin Trauma Associates where she mentored trauma center staff nationally and internationally. She was the Trauma Program Manager at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She served as a member of the Board of Directors of Society of Trauma Nurses for 19 years, was 2000-2001 President, a charter developer of the TOPIC course, former Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Trauma Nursing and remains an ATCN and TOPIC Instructor. Kathleen currently serves on the American Trauma Society Board of Directors, is past chair for the Trauma Nurse Leadership Council and serves as faculty for the ATS Trauma Program Management Course. Kathleen has mentored trauma professionals, developed far-reaching trauma PIPS processes, and presents trauma education globally in USA, Europe, Middle East, South America and Australasia.
