Injuries stand as the leading cause of death among children in the United States, signaling a critical need for dedicated advocates in the realm of injury prevention. During this webinar, we will share how we built and grew the Trainees for Child Injury Prevention (T4CIP) Program, lessons we have learned along the way, and the impact we have had on child injury prevention advocacy.
Tracy Mehan is the Director of Research Translation and Communications for the Center for Injury Research and Policy at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio and is the co-creator of the Center for Injury Research Translation and Communication (CIRTC). In these roles, she helps take research out of the journal and into the public. She also serves as a subject matter expert on AI for health literacy professionals for the Institute for Healthcare Advancement (IHA). Her professional interests center on the effective communication of injury prevention messages and teaching others how to share their research with both scientific and non-scientific audiences.
