Derrick Slagle is the Lead Trauma Registry Professional at Palomar Medical Center Escondido, bringing a wealth of expertise in health and human services. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Services and is certified as a Certified Specialist in Trauma Registries (CSTR). Derrick plays a pivotal role in the American Trauma Society (ATS) as the Co-Vice Chair for the CSTR/TRP Mentorship Program.
In addition to his leadership roles, Derrick is an ATS ICD-10 Instructor and speaker, having presented at notable conferences such as TRAM and SDHIA. His contributions to the field include serving as a poster presenter for the Trauma Centers Association of America (TCAA). He has served as Chair and Co-Chair for the San Diego Trauma Registry Committee, demonstrating his dedication to advancing trauma care and supporting professional development within his community.
