Regena J. Young, BSN, RN has been a practicing nurse for over 30 years with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Macon College and a Bachelor’s Degree from Georgia Southwestern University. Her background includes extensive emergency room, intensive care, trauma and rehabilitation nursing experience. Regena has been the Adult Trauma Outreach and Injury Prevention Coordinator with Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga, TN for the past 9 years where she has built a nationally recognized program. She serves on local, state and national injury prevention related committees including as a member of the TCAA Advocacy Committee and as President of the Board of Directors for the Chattanooga Area Brain Injury Association. Regena is committed to working with community partners to continue to increase awareness of traumatic injury as a public health crisis.

Sheila Nesbitt is the trauma outreach and prevention coordinator at North Memorial Health Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN. In this role she plans and conducts programs to help people and communities reduce the number and severity of traumatic injuries across the lifespan. She formerly worked at the Education Development Center, Minnesota Institute of Public Health, and the National Crime Prevention Council.

Gia Ramsey is the Injury Prevention/Education Outreach Coordinator at Maimonides Medical Center, a Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center in Brooklyn, New York. A 13-year injury prevention veteran, Gia is a member of the national ATS Injury Prevention Council, is the co-chair of her regional trauma injury prevention committee, and is a coalition member of many other organizations locally, statewide, and nationally. Under her direction, Maimonides Medical Center is a data collection site for the Consumer Product Safety Commission, providing data that will benefit prevention work nationwide.
