Description
The American Trauma Society presented a webinar on August 9, 2023 at 1:00pm - 2:00pm ET
Stop the Bleed for Kids: A Pediatric Approach to the National Educational Campaign
Currently the national Stop the Bleed Initiative is focused on teens and adults. However, children may be the first “on scene” of any type of incident. There is no curriculum that trains younger children to perform the bleeding control tasks.
Please join Missy Anderson as she describes how to create a pediatric friendly Stop the Bleed curriculum to provide children the necessary skills to assist in emergencies and empower them to have the confidence to help. While multiple studies suggest we can teach children as young as four years old CPR, we can indeed teach children proper bleeding control methods based on the national Stop the Bleed curriculum designed by the American College of Surgeons. This presentation will be geared toward teaching trauma faculty how to put this course on in your hospital and community.

Cost: FREE for Members and $25 for Non-Members
