Join Impact Teen Drivers as we discuss unintentional injury, death rates, and causes; the importance of including the community in our outreach focus; and learn how Impact Teen Drivers is addressing the unintentional number one killer of young people in America—preventable car crashes, particularly those caused by reckless and distracted driving.

Michelle Johnson is an affected family member, speaker, and teen driver safety advocate. She lost her oldest son Connor in a car crash caused by reckless and distracted driving. Michelle wanted to make a difference, and the Impact Teen Driver (ITD) mission–to develop, promote, and facilitate evidence-based education and strategies to save lives and reduce injuries and fatalities caused by reckless and distracted driving–aligned with her purpose.
As an ITD Education Outreach Coordinator, Michelle works passionately to engage, educate, and empower teens and parents to make safer and smarter choices as drivers and passengers. She works tirelessly to realize the Impact Teen Drivers vision to create a widespread culture shift among teens and their influencers where reckless and distracted driving are recognized as unacceptable behaviors and outside of the social norm.
