Description
The American Trauma Society presents an Injury Prevention Webinar on Sept. 7, 2022, at 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM ET - "Not Just a Statistic: The Importance of Addressing Suicide in the Trauma Population."
Injury survivors are at an increased risk of suicide, making this an important consideration and topic of conversation in the comprehensive care of trauma patients. Other relevant risk factors for suicide in the trauma population include brain injury, neurologic disorders, advanced age, and substance use concerns. This presentation will include discussion of general information about suicide, as well as specific considerations, risk factors, and statistics associated with suicide in the traumatically injured.
